With a "beautiful setting", this resort "caters to its customers", boasting "well-kept grounds", "access to hiking and biking trails", an "accommodating" staff and a location within "walking distance to the village" and minutes from Stowe Mountain skiing; there's a "fabulous" restaurant and "great amenities for kids" on-site, including a "pool, playground and game room", but the "simple" accommodations, arranged in a "motellike" setup, are perhaps a little "tired" (think "old wallpaper and fixtures") and better suited to families, "not romance."

Room was large and comfortable.
Did not like the fact that the room was separate from hotel and restaurants and other facilities were spread out in separate buildings.

Nice hiking trails in the back of the hotel, proximity to Stowe Village.
Could use some updating.

Convenient, clean, kind of loud if you have a 1st floor room like we did- heard doors slamming quite a bit, nice hiking trails behind the hotel.

Friendly and accommodating staff.
1970's patio furniture in the walkways outside the rooms.

It was worth what I paid on Priceline, but not much more than that. I don't feel I was given a room in the 3 star section. There were ugly 1970's patio furniture with gold metal tubes and yellow and white straps going across clearly displayed outside the line of rooms in the building I was in. The bathrooms were uncomfortably small and very poorly lit. the blow dryer was not really a blow dryer. The towels were amazingly soft, and possibly the best feature of the room. ...read more

The beautiful property it is situated on.
The restaurant very limited hours and limited selection.

Beautiful property with private guest fishing lake. The rooms weren't the most up-to-date but were large and very well kept with a private patio. Many trails on the property for hiking and leaf peeping. ...read more

Gorgeous location, town was very quaint, room was decorated nicely.
Kinda run down for this star rating. More like a motel.

The hiking trails were great - but pay attention to the map - easy to get lost.
There was nothing we didn't like. It was a peaceful, natural setting. Very nice.

Very nice facility. Beautiful, spacious grounds. Nice little restaurant for breakfast. Over 2 mile of wooded, mountain hiking trails. Clean room, comfortable bed. We would go back again.
